Mahinda is the GLOBALG.A.P.'s technical expert and trainer for the Eastern Africa Region. He joined GLOBALG.A.P. in June 2018 to support the region’s Registered Trainers, Certification Bodies, Producers and other stakeholders. He has been in the horticultural sector serving at various capacities for over 20 years. As an expert in Good Agricultural Practices, he assists producers in the certification of agricultural products in Africa ensuring they comply with the market requirements. He holds a Bsc. Agriculture degree from the University of Nairobi. Mahinda is qualified in Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor certification, Crop Protection, Integrated Crop Management, and Environmental Management.
Who should participate?:
- • Anyone that wants to understand more about what the purpose of PFA is, how PFA v6 works, and what is required in terms of the general rules and requirements in the different levels
- This training is aimed at participants that have no to minimum knowledge about GLOBALG.A.P. IFA.
Learning outcomes:
- You will have a clear understanding of the fundamentals of PFA v6
- You will learn how PFA differs from IFA
- You will learn about the general regulations and all principles as required in the different PFA levels
Training information:
- This is an instructor-led face to face training including many interactive activities and group work with other training participants. The training fee includes a certificate of attendance and the exam. Presentations and standard documents will be shared on this platform before the training starts. You are strongly advised to go through the normative documents beforehand. You should also keep the normative documents with you during the trainings as you will need them for most of the activities.
- The maximum number of participants is 15. Acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis. You will receive a confirmation email once your payment has been received.
